just send a letter to the office where your I-485 is pending. Let them know that you will file form I-360, hold I-485 in abeyance and you will use the priority date of your wife I-130. One does not have to get a divorce first to file I-360 as long as you can document the abuse you suffer, you have good moral character and resided with your abuser, your I-360 will be approved. It is a lengthy process that’s why you need to tell them to use the I-130 priority date before your abuser cancel the petition. Again main things make sure there is convincing abuse, you can show this by a restraining order, emotional abuse such as words, keep all the nasty texts or letters she sends you, if she is cheating, wants you to pay for everything, and prevent you from talking to friends or family, threaten you with deportation are all examples of abuses. Good luck Aji oye.

@Jis Dako, pls quick question u mean i should tell them to use my wife i-130 priority date for my Vawa Petiition?

Hello Aji oye!
Two things you need to tell them
1- hold your pending I-485 in abeyance because you plan on filing VAWA.
2- Use your wife I-130 priority date for the form I-360.

July 2021 will be 2 years since I filed for VAWA. They sent me a request for additional evidence (RFE) last month and I sent the response first week of this month. Its a lengthy process, that’s why I suggest you use the I-130 priority for your VAWA, it will be process quickly.
