Form I-693 Medical expense
Hello,
Hoping you can share your experience with doing the Medicals for your green card application. My provider has advised that it’s going to cost me over a $1000 for the tests and signature by a civil surgeon. These tests are not covered by insurance. Does that sound right?
Asking because I have seen post’s saying people have done their medicals with as low as $175. If that’s the case would you please share what that process looks like?

what state do you live - $1,000 is a day time robery.
You should call at least everyone listed in your area - will take you maybe 1/2hrs but will save you maybe $700.
l live in Los Angeles, me and my kids paid ( mind you we had most of our vaccines: the kids - from school; me being a nurse - had them as part of occupational health requirement) we paid $195 each. My husband had only childhood and Covid vaccine - he paid $240. The doctor sent him to CVS minute clinic to have missing vaccines because it was cheaper than getting them from him.

mine was $300 and the rest insurance covered it. there are places that charge you less like $200, but insurance doesn’t cover bloodwork and vaccines. so u should go to USCIS web and search a doctor based on your location. u can call to every office and ask for a price.

my was $250, I went to my local health department and asked about where I could do it. they indicated me the public clinic that do those procedures and I had to take some shots as well. 1k dollars is too expensive look for alternatives.
