@Diana H Depending on where you live, you can get a DL if you show legal presence which is your K1

yes we’ll be getting that later when we get SSN but we’ll need to travel domestically like a week after my fiancé gets to the states @Rocco Forté

@Diana H Ok but he cannot get an SSN with out a green card. He can get an ITIN with a work permit. Just take him, his K1 visa, proof of address to your local DMV and get a learner’s permit. That will serve as an ID or he can just travel with his passport as ID

you actually can get a SSN without a green card or work permit on k1 @Rocco Forté but yes we will do that later there’s just no time to focus on drivers license rn and state ID needs SSN too
