@Suzy K Is your PD current ? I am waiting close to 16 months now. My PD is current.
Suzy KDec 5, 2023
yes @S SS it’s current
S SSDec 5, 2023
@Suzy K My case seems like an odd ball case because it was stuck @ TSC for long however I have generally seen EB1A cases get approved within 10 months to 12 months. So you should be optimistic.
Suzy KDec 5, 2023
it’s crazy… are you current? our cases are at non local fo since july. we got ap and ead though.
S SSDec 5, 2023
@Suzy K Yes mine is current. Case moved to non-local FO - Brooklyn, NY. I am waiting for medical RFE.
S SSDec 5, 2023
@Suzy K May I ask which FO your case is being processed now ?
Suzy KDec 5, 2023
I think it’s just sitting there at Newark FO. Per emma agents, there is no update, no assigned officers and no info on interview or waivers as of two weeks ago.
Suzy KDec 5, 2023
I have submitted the medicals with the application so not expecting an rfe on that.
S SSDec 5, 2023
@Suzy K My case was moved to Brooklyn NY FO two weeks back. I am yet to get my AP. Was your AP approved before your case moved to FO ?
Suzy KDec 5, 2023
we got the aps after the case was sent to fo- we are family of 4 - wierd enough my underaged daughter got hers first a month after case was transferred to fo (thats over 9 months after we applied), then I followed suit a couple of weeks later, and so on for the rest. it took over 2 months to get all the aps.
S SSDec 5, 2023
@Suzy K Thanks for sharing.
S SSDec 5, 2023
@Suzy K One thing I am not sure, when they transfer my case from TSC to NBC, they only sent the I-485 transfer notice, nothing they sent for the AP so it’s difficult to know whether the AP is also transferred or not. When they transferred your case, did you receive any transfer notice for your AP or just the I-485 ?
Suzy KDec 5, 2023
@S SS my case was at nbc from the start. I never received any letter except the ead and ap approvals.
S SSDec 5, 2023
@Suzy K oh ok
S SSDec 5, 2023
@Suzy K I read post before that if the FO is non-local then generally interviews
step is waived. Not sure if it’s still applicable these days. All my colleagues who received GC in the last two years - EB1A, EB2 etc their interviews were waived.
Suzy KDec 5, 2023
@S SS yes I have noticed that too, but emma agents have not seen that update on my case and most of them tell me to check processing times of my local fo. you never know they may send it back…
S SSDec 5, 2023
@Suzy K Yes we cannot be sure. Let’s see. My case is currently @ Brooklyn NY but my local is Fort Myers, Florida and whose processing time is abysmal - 28 month or so. it’s crazy.
Suzy KDec 5, 2023
24.5 and 21 months- local fo is shorter 😂😂I thought they send cases to non local for faster processing times @S SS
S SSDec 5, 2023
@Suzy K 🙂
S SSDec 5, 2023
This poll results are interesting. There is zero votes for “six months”, however votes have been cast on “a week” and majority votes have gone to another extreme “more than six months”.
S SSDec 5, 2023
I have requested my Congressman and I was told today that I485 cases on an average taking 24 months so nothing can be done before that.
Laura SDec 6, 2023
i’m an EB1A waiting on i485 too but only a month in with current PD. i can’t believe you’ve waited a year!! doesn’t make me feel particularly optimistic for mine haha can i ask you what country you’re from?
Suzy KDec 6, 2023
@Laura S we’re from Lebanon. You?
Suzy KDec 6, 2023
@S SS my lawyer said it will take at least a year but you know how it is with USCIS- all messy and unpredictable not to mention unprofessional
S SSDec 6, 2023
@Suzy K you mean overall 24 months since we applied I485 ?
Suzy KDec 6, 2023
well, he meant at least a year after applying
S SSDec 6, 2023
@Suzy K ok oh. That is reasonable. I saw recently someone posted in lawfully who got EB1A approved after close to two years.
Laura SDec 6, 2023
@Suzy K i’m australian!
S SSDec 9, 2023
For the last week or so I am observing quite a few posts from EB1A applicants who are getting approved which in my opinion was not happening for a long time. It’s just an observation, I maybe wrong though.
Suzy KDec 10, 2023
I noticed it too but pd is 2021 mostly
