@Shari Nooo, VAWA Approval has more benefits than PRIMA Facie. With VAWA Approval, you are more qualified for more benefits and you can secure Student Loan too. PRIMA Facie will only makes one eligible for aids/ Grant. Pls, I am opened for more enlightenment

I guess you guys are confusing student loan with student aid. student you will pay back but the aid is money you won't pay back. I'm yet to see anyone receive student aid through fafsa with an approved vawa

@AUG 22 when u get approved from your school for student aid let me know. I've called DOE, I've called USCIS, and every one told me I'm not eligible for student aid unless I have a greencard or prima facie, it never make sense to me but it is what it is.

Impact of Approved VAWA Petition: While an I-797 approval shows your VAWA case is approved, this approval doesn't always immediately make you eligible for FAFSA. If you haven't yet received lawful permanent resident (LPR) status (green card), you wont qualify.

I sent you link with law and interpretation of law. why are you so stubborn. find me official website with law that support your findings otherwise stop confusing people. I told you already, I have approved vawa and no problem with fafsa at all.

@AUG 22 Other Documentation Not Listed Above You are NOT an eligible noncitizen and cannot receive federal student aid if you have only a “Notice of Approval to Apply for Permanent Residence” (I-171 or I-464);. I'm yet to see where on the link you provided that it says an approval for vawa can be use to qualify for fafsa. I will stick to what I was told, only the prima facie allows government benefit or having a GC and since I have neither, I got a loan to continue pay for my studies.

@Shari is it Federal Loan or Private Loan from Financier. I need student Loan for MS Accounting
