Finally stopped compulsively refreshing USCIS. Here is what changed.
I filed months ago and the USCIS site said the same thing every single day.
"Case Was Received." No sense of whether I was on track or stuck. I tried a bunch of trackers and ended up sticking with MyCasesHub, mostly for three things.
First, it actually pulls my status live, so when something moved I knew fast instead of finding out days later.
Second, and this is the part that calmed me down, it showed how my case was moving compared to other people who filed the same form at the same service center around the same time. For the first time I could tell my case was normal and not lost in a black hole.
Third, it gave me an estimated decision window based on real historical outcomes for my category. Not a promise, but way better than staring at a blank status.
