Finally Some Action! I-130 Approved 😁 now two more steps to go , NVC and then Visa Interview
It was a long wait and stressful for both of us. Finally, some light at the end of the tunnel. I-130 got approved after 10 months plus some. We got more anxious when USCIS was increasing processing time every month. The goal post was always moving away. At first processing time was 6 months, then 8 m, then 9 m, 12 months and recently 13 months. It sank our hearts. The family separation is painful and frustrating, but this good news is certainly a boost for our hope to finally start our married life.
Now, next is waiting for letter from NVC and then Visa interview 😀. Two more steps to go! Hoping to spend Summer together here in US! 🤞

US Citizen Husband filling for wife in India. Got Married in India in December 2021. Filled I-130 online and K3 by mail, didn’t used any lawyer services. Counceller Processing requested at Mumbai, India. No RFE, I guess, one month to prepare through application paid off.

Your petition is mainly for fiance visa or spouse visa? Haven't usually seen 129F and 130 filed together that's why

I feel your pain....I waited 14 months and now I'm at 70 days and no welcome letter! 3 years of My life has been back and forth from US to MEXICO....I'm tired I'm depleted and so I'm my fiancé! I was approved for K1 March 15th no letter yet

@y p My petition is for my wife. 129F can be filled for spouse, known as K3 visa once you filled I-130. After filing I-130, there is no application fee for filing I-129F.
While K3 is rarely issued as it almost take the same time as of I-130, I filled it because I)It doesn’t cost additionally ii) It needs the same documents as of I-130 iii) In case, I-130 approval got delayed due to any RFE, I wanted to have visa option to bring my wife.

@Jackie B. Sometimes, I feel the system don’t even consider the emotional pain. 97% of USCIS operations are funded by the fees. They can increase it by another 3%, but should process immediate family visas at priority, preferably within 6 months

anyone know how much time NVC taking to schedule interview for IR5 ? my parents case got DQ in December 2022, and still waiting for IL

@Jo jor I got approved on 24th June and on 27th June the status changed to Case sent to Department of State (NVC ). The NVC case was created on the exact 7th calendar day from this status change.
