Finally I am done with my immigration journey π
I applied under the 5 years rule back in November 2020. I was notified in August 2021 to go give my biometrics and shortly after that I was scheduled for an interview in September then they cancelled it and rescheduled me for October. I received a decision can't be made. Then I received my approval about 140 days after my interview, at the end of February and my naturalization ceremony was two weeks after that.
During my interview the officer was very professional and asked many questions about my past and how I obtained the GC. She also went over everything on the form. The interview lasted a little over an hour and half.
I had a very complicated case but I was straight forward with the officer and I included everything on my N400. I also had a great immigration attorney who helped me prepare and went to the interview with me.
If you live in Michigan or have any questions regarding your case, I highly recommend Russell Abrutyn. He's great at what he do. read about him online and you will be impressed.

M RMar 17, 2022

oh ok

what is 601 waiver
maxx trilokaniMar 17, 2022
hi are you still married did they ask many questions regarding your marriage
M RMar 17, 2022
I can't list the questions because they were too personal, but the officer asked a lot of follow up questions regarding my marriage such as how did we meet and why did the marriage end. Looked into my past over stay and she wasn't happy about that confirmed that I had an I601 waiver
maxx trilokaniMar 17, 2022
what is 601 waiver and did had your 10 years green card
M RMar 17, 2022
I601 is a waiver for ground of inadmissibility. If someone is deported or left the country voluntarily must waive the 3 or 10 years ban before coming back
M RMar 17, 2022
I had the 10 years GC

I am married and have green card 10 year but having some issues with wife do you think will it be problem to get citizenship
M RMar 17, 2022
If you have the 10 years GC you should be ok. but you will be asked a lot of questions about your marriage if you're not living together, specially if you don't have any children.
I have children from my marriage and other supporting documents to prove that it was not a shame marriage because they want to make sure you didn't get married for the GC
