The I-485 took seven and a half months from the receipt date to approval. I filed the adjustment-of-status application myself. Thank you to everyone who shared timelines, answered questions during my DIY, and offered encouragement. I hope my timeline helps others who are still waiting. Please feel free to ask questions about the process. Category: EB-2 NIW Country of birth: ROW, From 75 country list. Priority date: May, 2024 I-140: Approved on March, 2025. Normal Processing. No RFE. I-485 and I-765 received by USCIS: October, 2025 Single Filer. No dependents. Biometrics: December, 2025 Interview: Waived RFE: None Current on the final action table: March 1, 2026 Field office: San Bernardino (non-local). Transferred on early February, 2026 as per Emma chat. Ghost timestamp updates on API: One -- December, 2025 (After the Biometric, got 2 FTA0 on 485, 3 on EAD) Two -- late January, 2026. One -- early february, 2026 -- Likely the field office transfer. One -- Late March. One -- Mid May. Two -- A 3rd FTA0 on June 14. then ghost timestamp after 4/5 hours. One -- June 15, Mid day PST time. H008 code -- June 15, PST time evening. Approval email -- June 15, PST time evening. 5 minutes after the H008 code. I485 Status shows -- Case Approved. EAD Status -- Still processing. AP - Didn't apply.
