Wow congrats! Can you explain how you filed inquiry with Emma?
H KMay 9, 2025
Congrats! Did you have to go into the office again for biometrics on Apr 28 or did they reuse the fingerprints from before?

whats your receipt block ?
Dragon 9May 10, 2025
@Current PD I called USCIS customer service at 800-375-5283, listened to the list of options, and connected to an agent after entering my receipt number using the phone keypad. After answering some verification questions, the agent informed me that my case was outside the normal processing time range, so I qualified to file a service request. I said yes, I would like to proceed with a service request, and she completed the remaining steps for me.

@H K They reused fingerprints from before (no actual biometric appointment).

"the agent informed me that my case was outside the normal processing time range" That's not actually true, is it? You've only been current for a month

Which field office was your case located in?
Dragon 9May 12, 2025
@Max Doe + I'm not sure how the agent determined that my case is outside the normal processing range, but I believe they can still submit a request regardless if they think it is. Worst case, you'll receive a response from USCIS stating that your case is still within the normal processing timeframe. On the bright side, submitting a request requires an officer to review your case in order to generate a reply. If they're in a "good mood" that day and your PD is current, there's a chance they might go ahead and approve it (especially if it's a straightforward case that was "pre-approved" by the previous officer who worked on it and is just waiting for the PD to become current for final approval). + My case was initially sent to the Nebraska Service Center, then transferred and approved at the National Benefits Center (NBC). As far as I know, it never went to a field office.
