Finally ER approved
Hi, I am sharing the expedited request experience for my H4 EAD here hoping that it can be useful to others. I am a scientist with my research focused on cancer and autoimmune diseases. I recently moved to the US, and applied for my very first standalone H4 EAD on 17th Sept 2021 at California Service Center. I immediately started looking for jobs too. Fortunately I received a job offer in Jan 2022, just after USCIS announced that they will consider the expedited requests for healthcare EAD renewals. I explained to the employer the whole situation, asked for the supporting letter too to make my case stronger. The employer mentioned the following points in the letter - why they wanted to hire me, the project deadlines and how my research would benefit them and the patients too. So, on Jan 25th raised the first ER. On Jan 26th, I got a response to submit evidence. Complete silence after that. Raised another ER on 17th Feb to followup on the original ER. At the same time, I contacted Sen. Diane Fienstien and Sen. Alex Padilla to inquire about my ERs. Today, after more than 30 days my ER got approved. I am now waiting for my EAD. Hope it helps.#ead #expeditedrequest
