@Sb yk Thank youuu, Honestly he didn’t even ask me that many questions, at first he said, “So tell me about your fiancé” and I started talking about him, and one thing led to another and we basically had a conversation rather than it feeling like an interview/ interrogation. But I basically told him how me and my fiancé met, and what he does, and he asked if had gone to visit him and I told him yes twice before my visa expired and briefly because I had school, so we also talked about what I’d possible be doing for work when I go to the states but only because my degree had been brought up in the convo. Then he said as soon as he gets my medical he’s gonna go ahead and print my visa and I’m good to go. That was literally it.

hey so how many days did it take you to get the payment instructions by email after da 160 submission?

@Sb yk it’s different in Jamaica, immediately after we submit DS-160 we can pay online

@Britt D 🇯🇲 what about welcome packet with instructions to schedule interview? my case has been “ready” for two weeks now.

@JD L As soon as I received my k1-ftp I had filled out my ds-160 and scheduled my interview, I didn’t wait on my welcome packet because I already knew what it looked like and what it would include. However I got my welcome packet the very next day. You can email the embassy yk, and let them know you’re case has been ready however you haven’t received your welcome packet as yet, and in the meantime just fill out and submit your DS-160, that’s completely fine if you don’t wanna go ahead and schedule an interview just yet

@Britt D 🇯🇲 I thought I had to wait for welcome packet to schedule interview. it says “you must wait to schedule appointment until you receive welcome packet otherwise we won’t receive you”

I filled ds160 about two weeks ago
