Finally case was approved. EB1-India PD July 15, 2022. Thank you community for the support. I understand the situation so please do not frustrate, your time will come soon.
My timeline is here. Hope it will help someone. PD July 15, 2022. AOS & medical submitted Dec 28, 2022. Biometric done Feb 2023. Received EAD & AP. Date retrogress, waiting…… Date Current Dec 2026 Jan-Mar no movement. Approach Senator in April 2026. Meantime submitted EAD renewal online, immediately case got transferred from NBC-LAFO, due to workload. Received a call from USCIS about verification. Medical expired, USCIS issued RFE April 21 2026. LAFO received RFE response on May 12, 2026. Logged in the system May 20,2026. “This is the important date and the clock starts from here.” Waiting…..Approach local congressman after 30 days June 10, 2026. Received positive response July 9, 2026. I was not able to open the SR but my dependents open the SR after 60 days on July 20, 2026. Case approved July 22, 2026!

Thank you. Local congressman casework team contacted USCIS about the case. USCIS has to respond congressman within 30 days. C. office received a case response that officer is assigned to the case, reviewed RFE, requested associated files and collaborated with DoS for visa allocation. I would say this was a great help from the office.

Great! Congratulations @VJ D ! Roughly how many days USCIS took to respond or act on your case after submission of first congressional inquiry in April? was it exact 30 days? Also, did it also take 30 days for second congressional inquiry in June ?

Senator inquiry on 4/17, response received from senator office 4/19. Congressional inquiry 6/10, response received 7/9. It got delayed I think only my I-485 application moved to LAFO and remaining associated files (I-140, etc) were at NBC. Otherwise the approval should came in May or June.

If all files are at one place I-140, I-485, I-693 medical and biometric in the system then approvals are faster within 1-30 days! Depends on the case complexity.

Thank you @YB B In my case it takes 4.5 months after biometric appointment. Dec 28, 2022 I-485, I-765, I-131 submitted Biometric done Feb 16, 2023 EAD & AP approved on July 1, 2023. Received combo which was valid upto June 2025. EAD renewal application still in process with USCIS from April 2026.

@r p As per your local address/zip code you can easily find the congressman office in google or ChatGtp. Casework forms are listed on their website for immigration assistance. Fill out the form including basic information and submit with case evidence. Phone numbers are also listed on their website so you can directly call them.
