congratulations @Lina A to you both! If you don’t mind the question, what additional info were they requesting? and between march 24th and the aug 8th interview did you already know that the interview date was going to be the 8th of august? or did it come last minute? Did you both have to appear in person? what country? best wishes!

Thanks, @Erica P! We didn’t submit the 130A when we applied, so that was the additional info they asked for. On 8/8, the status changed to “interview was scheduled,” but for some reason, the status here only shows “interview.”Between 3/24 and 8/8, I contacted the Ombudsman (filed form I-7001), which I think helped our case to be pushed through to the interview status. We both attended the interview as it was stated on the interview notice. I was in Colombia (my home country) but traveled on my B2 visa to attend. Hope this helps! @Erica P, ninguna molestia! El formulario I-130A tiene los datos básicos del beneficiario y debe enviarse junto con el I-130. Si no lo subiste, es recomendable que lo subas en la parte de Unsolicited Evidence si tu cuenta te da la opción de subir documentos. La visa B2 es la de turismo, que por lo general te permite estar en EE.UU por 6 meses (a discreción del oficial de migración en el aeroporterto al que llegues). El Ombusman es una entidad del gobierno de Estados Unidos que “audita” (tal vez no el mejor término) al USCIS. Acá te dejo el link que explica mas detalladamente lo que hacen y como te pueden ayudar. https://www.dhs.gov/case-assistance La entrevista fue en Atlanta y no en Bogotá pero creo que fue porque en el formulario respondimos que yo estaba en EEUU y no íbamos a hacer proceso consular (cuando el beneficiario está fuera de EEUU) Si tienes más preguntas, no hay lío, escríbelas sin pena que yo te respondo lo que necesites saber.

@Lina A @Lina A gracias amiga ya entendí….y acabo de mirar y si hice el 130A junto al 130…menos mal…pero ves que todo este proceso me tiene patinando el coco ya, como lo ves 🥴 pero que felicidad que con la visa que tienes puedes venir acá a los Estados Unidos y estar con tu esposo!! Yo trato de viajar varias veces al año pero es difícil con los niños acá y son muchos gastos. Es difícil la verdad y la distancia nos mata. Bueno amiga nos mantenemos en contacto, que yo en cualquier momento tambien posteo buenas noticias 🥰
