Finally Approved! PD June 28, 2023
Not updated on this app yet, but at 10 am (Michigan time) I got an email from USCIS saying they took an action on my case. Status said active review (2nd active review) started today. I looked in documents and my approval was there.
I contacted my congressman 2 days ago, he contacted USCIS yesterday, and now today I got my approval!
USCIS has been working on July cases lately, and many June and earlier filers were skipped like me. It is a complete joke that I had to get my congressmen involved just for them to do something they should’ve already done.
I get that some cases require further processing, so it takes longer. But it seems like they just skip many cases for absolutely no reason. I worked in an immigration law firm for few years. My application was spot on and all the evidence was there. I knew there was no way I was going to get RFE. I was expecting my approval at the same time USCIS was approving other June filers. Oh well, finally done.

I’m glad your congressman was helpful! Congratulations 🎊 mine gave me the generic answer and told me to wait until June 2025. but God got other plans I feel it 🙏

use that link to enter your zip code. it will tell you who your local congressman is. then go on the congressman’s website and look for the form. if you can’t find a form, just send an email to the congressman and they’ll reply and tell you what you need to do.
it was a super quick and easy process to deal with the congressman.

@eni 123 There are usually multiple congressman in nearby areas. see if you can find another one. if you filed over a year ago, then the congressman should definitely at least reach out to USCIS.

My case exactly. I too had to contact the congressman, I got approved today too. PD June 14th, but finally I can start NVC process probably next week

congratulations, im thinking of contacting my congressman as well I know they are working on June/ July cases but I’ve seen tons on Oct as well and nothing even tried expediting mine and they still denied it after declaring I had everything. I don’t know what’s going on just feel so stuck waiting like from the sound of your post as well.
