Finally approved after RFE and interview
Timeline attached. I was surprised by many things in the process including 0) EB1 seeing massive retrogression right after i applied 1) RFE for i485J when i was self petitioning 2) Interview which is rare for EB1 and 3) No approval during the interview or within the next one.
Better late than never!

@Jay D : nothing unique about the interview - usual questions to understand if anything changed since I filled up the form. the only piece they double clicked on was my marriage. i got married a few months before applying for i485 so they asked for evidence for the marriage

I have a similar timeline except that my 140 was approved in Nov after RFE, 485 hasn't moved since then. planning to file 485j for an offer I am receiving.

@R A : my application was self petition - so the i485j was a mistake on their side: i never changed any jobs since applying

@R J - Thanks. There is one more similarity b/w our case. i got married few months prior to filing 485, lol. i had suspicion that I was called for interview because of it. What kind of questiins and documents they asked about marriage?

@Jay D : usual proofs of marriage: joint bank documents, insurance documents, joint leases, ids with similar address, wedding photos and marriage certificate etc
