Hi I'm also waiting, I'm Brazilian. I still haven't heard back.π₯Ήπ₯Ή Is your interview scheduled in Brazil, if so when?

@Romaine J congratulations π

@Romaine J you upgrade yr case?
Romaine JJun 14, 2025
@Lorrayne Barros The interview is not scheduled yet but we're hopeful it won't be much longer. We just got approval notice today. We still have to wait for NVC to send notice, submit documents to NVC, become documentarily qualified, etc before interview can be scheduled. We are going through consular processing and whenever interview is scheduled it will be at the US consulate in Rio.

@Disha Patel No need to upgrade. IR1 Visa is for US citizen married to a foreign national for Minimum of 2 years. If the duration of time you are married to spouse at the time of interview is under 2 years you would be given a CR1 visa (if petitioner is a US citizen). Once you and US citizen spouse are married more than 2 years, it automatically changes to a IR1 visa.
