Finally Approved! 🙏🇺🇸 Boston Marriage-Based Green Card Timeline
I have no words to describe how happy I feel right now… 🙏
After a long journey, I’m finally APPROVED!! 🇺🇸
Marriage-based Green Card (married to a U.S. citizen)
📍 Applied from inside the U.S. — Boston, MA (Boston USCIS Field Office)
Here is my timeline for anyone who is still waiting:
May 9, 2025 – I-485 filed
June 4, 2025 – Biometrics
August 14, 2025 – Interview
February 2026 – Case reviewed
April 13, 2026 – Case updated (second touch)
April 14, 2026 – I-130 approved
April 14, 2026 – I-485 APPROVED 🎉
It was not easy… many months of waiting, anxiety, and uncertainty. But today I can say: it was all worth it.
To everyone still in this process:

@T N @D B , no I didn’t receive my work permit because I already had a SSN since 2018. I got my SSN from school.

Did you file a complaint with USCIS or did they just approve it?

my lawyer did and I sent an email to the congressman. I think it helped me

My case is also similar to yours. On February, did your case change from “Inteview was scheduled” to something else? And what did that second touch looked like on the online portal? many thanks.

Yeah, after my interview it stayed like “interview was scheduled” for a while. Then in February I saw a “touch” (no visible update in the normal portal), and that’s when I knew they were reviewing again. The second touch also didn’t change the status, it just showed activity behind the scenes.
What really helped me was checking the API to see those updates.
If you want to try:
* Log into your USCIS account and leave it open
* Open another tab and paste this (replace with your receipt number):
my.uscis.gov/account/case-service/api/cases/YOUR_RECEIPT_NUMBER
It will show timestamps and internal updates (“touches”) that don’t appear in the normal portal.
Then just take a screenshot and send it to ChatGPT — it helps understand what’s going on.
