Filing n400 with I-751 pending
Generally, is it advisable to file n400 with I-751 pending? I filed I-751 in October 2022, and I am eligible to file for n400 this September 2023 per some readings I did on the USCIS website.
Does filing n400 slow i751 processing? Should I go ahead and apply for n400 or wait for some time? please any advice will greatly be appreciated.

Most lawyers recommend applying for N-400 if I-751 is pending or taking too long. I myself did that applied for I-751 in June of 2020, and applied for N-400 in January only then i was scheduled for my I-751 interview. Basically it will not slow it down but instead it will speed up the process a bit.

I applied for my i751 on January 2021 and haven’t heard back anything from USCIS for 2.5 years .then I applied for my N-400 and combo interview scheduled after 8 months of applying of n400

@faisal what's your service center? I hear processing times are highly influenced by the service center. Anyone with service center around the Minnesota area?

@dazy all National Benefit Center, I’m in NY and estimated timeline was within 18months but I didn’t hear anything or get scheduled for 29 months until i filed for N-400

@American Dream Congratulations btw , you got very lucky . I’m still waiting for my N-400 interview my last interview for N-400 they sent me home due to not being able to locate my file.

will you be given 10yrs GC when you attend combo interview or citizenship only?

@carl william If someone gets a combo interview, they approve your I-751 first and then question you for the citizenship, so you’ll basically end up getting the citizenship
