Filing I-485J
My PD is November 2020. My case (I-485) was transferred to NBC last month, for the second time. Up to date, no movement still. I’m filing a I-485J next week. I’m aware that I will retain my PD but will it delay the approval of my green card?
Also, when filing a I-485J, will the original sponsoring company, get notified? Does the original company need to sign anything in I-485J form?
Please share you thought/experiences. Thank you.

original company does not get notified if you file a I485J, you don't need anything from the original company
also, it does not delay the approval of your card

@LM F Yes I have filed I485J, it's a pretty simple process. the new employer should file the form , there's no filing fees and send it to USCIS. USCIS will send you a receipt saying they have received the form. let me know if you have any specific questions

@LM F does your new company have immigration lawyer? they should help you with everything, it's their responsibility to file for you

@M S I have my own lawyer. I haven’t discussed this again with him but he knows that I want to change employer. How long did you wait for I-485 approval?

thanks, from filing date to approval about 25 months, i485j was filed towards the end, last couple of months I changed jobs

@Tddf kgt My case was originally sent to NBC then after a month of filing it was transferred to Nebraska then just last month it was transferred again to NBC.
Based on my friend’s cases, transferring to NBC is a good sign. they got an approval after 1-3months.

@LM F I'll just say one thing - The I485 and I485J application are adjudicated together on the same day. so I485J doesn't delay your processing.
