filing I-485
hello lawfully family. hope eveytbody is having a good holiday. I just have few concerns about my case and I also see many of your concerns about everybody’s case.
my PD is September 2022. so I know my case is not current at the moment. I am also aware it might take another 2-3 years for my case to be current ( trend these days and what my lawyer says). however i see many of you talking about EAD has been filed 1-131 has been filed combo card has been file and so on.
my concern is since my PD is not current can I file for I-485, 765, 131 and/ or combo card or do i have to wait untill the PD becomes current
I see some of you says my case is not current haven’t seen any updates for finger print or interviews. is it because when you files the date was current but since it retrograted the PD date was not current .
please help me understand the process.
also I don’t want any negative harsh and rude comments please

You can only file 485/EAD & 131 when the filing date per the visa bulletin is current for you. According to January 2024 bulletin, only people with PD on or before dec. 15th 2020 can apply.

my PD is 2021 jun and my I 485-765-I-131 was filed all together in jan 2023 and I have my Ead card already

until January 30/2023, was allowed to file the forms I485-I765 and I131 after this date the retrogression closed the window to file this forms, you need to follow the visa bulletins to see when the file date will meet your priority date and then you can file your forms, happy holidays!
