Filing Adjustment of status
Hey family, my son's priority date is April 2, 2024, and the date for filing on the bulletin is June 15, 2024. He turned 18 May 2024 and is in the US one month now. I filed his I-130 under counselor processing. Can I adjust his status?

I did the same for my mother, we stared with counselor, but she came to US and we applied for AOS, we just attached I130 approval notice to the case. She already got her GC, it went well. But in your case your I130 is not approved yet. So I’m not sure

@Stella Lee, I appreciate your feedback. the I-130 will take about 3years to approve too base on my son's category

since your son’s priority date is current it is possible to file i130 and i485 concurrently. You just have to find out how to move i130 from counselor to adjustment of status.

@Stella Lee thanks for the information. I am hoping it isn't to hard to move the I-130. I may just attach a letter of request on the portal
