NBC sends applications around the country regularly so it also means they send your application to a field office. you can call or chat with emma to know which one

@Feb 21 i just had a chat with ask emma and it said my case is still is NBC. So you mean my case needs to be transferred to a local field office before approval? Do NBC not approve themselves?

The only way to confirm the field office location of your case is either if you receive a rfe or if you call uscis and ask then about it.
usually the address on the rfe letter is the field office your case is being processed at.

@S B your application doesn’t need to go field office before approval, but usually they go to FO when they need additional information from jurisdiction or need to schedule an interview. NBC also can approve themselves if your case is straightforward.

You need to see where did you send your RFE, if any. Another option would be checking Hilites Today website but you will need to make a lot of search to find out.
