My I-129F was approved on November 2025 and USCIS updated my status to “Case Was Sent to the Department of State” on January 2026.I’m now waiting for NVC to create the case number and forward it to Embassy Cairo.
For those who recently went through this stage:
How long did it take you to receive the NVC case number/email after USCIS sent the case to DOS?

approved dec 11th, still no update after not even case was sent to DOS

@hem malot after my approval, case was sent to the dos after two months so u probably gonan wait 1 more month

@Kirollos Botros i did my interview last year on November 26. I am just waiting for the visa as I was requested to send additional documents at the interview. what i did on December 31st

I heard for Egypt where my fiance is located that they ask u to recieve it at the mailbox or to go to the embassy and recieve it from there so I think every country is differnt

my status says sent to DOS January 8 so u think I wait two more months again, wow
for the nvc case number and how about the interview, prolly another 2 more months 😭
