F2a to Ir-2 or F11
i have a question for my friend he has filed i-130 petition for his children his son was about to be 21 before he applied for i-130 he was considered in f2a category now his son is above 21 and still waiting for the approval also, he has naturalized now so in which category he will be now ir-2 or f11 also if he his now in f11 can he opt out to f2a please response…

If the I-130 was approved before the child turned 21 then his age would have frozen and it would be IR2 when he upgrades his petition but if the child turned 21 before the I-130 got approved, unfortunately, the child would have aged out and is now in the F category
