I just received a notification that my case status has changed to Request for Evidence (RFE). I haven’t received the RFE letter yet—neither by mail nor in the Documents tab of my USCIS account. I’m not sure what additional evidence they might be asking for. Does anyone know what kind of evidence USCIS usually requests for an F2A I-130 case?

@Hasan S If they ask for proof of the relationship, they may request things like joint bank accounts, a lease or rental agreement with both names, and in some cases the I-130A. They may also ask for letters from friends supporting the relationship, and other similar evidence.

@Hasan S You also need to wait two or three days for the RFE letter to appear, so you can see exactly what evidence they are requesting.

Received the RFE letter, They said photos alone aren’t enough and asked for stronger proof that our marriage is real — things like money transfers, chat and call logs, travel records, and affidavits from family or friends.

Ok, so they might have thought that you got married for the purposes of getting the visa because the marriage was done not too far from filing your i130
