Did they ask you any specific questions other than if you were adjusting the case? Where is your case with I-485? are you waiting for an interview? Is your VAWA approved already? @JoJo JoJo

@Nick A hi there, the only thing they asked is if i am adjusting my status and how i was doing it and i said i got married. thats it. nothing more nothing less. my VAWA is not yet approved. my I-485 is still pending also.

my question is; they checked my documents: what are the documents? also: how you were doing it and you said you got married, but what about VaWa? also: nothing regarding VaWa, what do you mean exactly? even though the card yourself is based on your marriage, didn’t you mention about VaWa? hey @JoJo JoJo thanks for sharing ur experience . looks like combo card is same as gc in my experience I didn’t c any one got denied .

@Ivan b they checked my passport and the combo card number. yes i got married and then we did the regular i-131 then things went south and i switched to vawa. you can only get VAWA if you are or were married (in my case). no i did not mention vawa because of what i mentioned above. You will be fine!

@journey fellas Yeah, basically as long as your stuff is pending, usually dont have an issue because CBP has to go by USCIS rules.

the reason I’m asking let’s say you say I have this card because I got married (or I’m married?) and they ask questions about your spouse or etc eventually you have to let them know that you filed VaWa during the conversation. so I’m just thinking if they ask me how I got the card should I basically say, I have pending green card application and they sent me this card because I also applied for advance parole. @JoJo JoJo

I don’t think either, last time I travel when they asked me I said I have pending g card application. they didn’t ask me about my spouse or etc because there can be thousands of different ways that you can apply green card and get advance parole while it’s pending. @journey fellas

I stayed 3 weeks last year, I will stay 3 weeks. @journey fellas maybe you don’t that that time but I feel like if officers see another visa in your passport they also feel better, last time I had UK traveled via UK. this time I have Schengen, I will have a stop in Europe.

@journey fellas if you have all the papers, you fill form online, upload everything only go to another department in one of the USCIS centers for finger print but it’s different than USCIS, they use the same place. you wait for two weeks and if you pay for 6 months they give 6 months, if you pay for 2 years they give 2 years. Schengen is a bit harder, but I definitely recommend UK visa especially if your home country is around Middle East or Asia

@rj ad u will be fine because you filed before it expired. even if you filed after, you would still be fine. nothing to worry about.

hello can anyone give me advice for traveling with AP? am scare for the first time

@JoJo JoJo Hey! When you received the USCIS documentation, did you only receive the Combo Card? Or did you receive any other Advance Parole document from USCIS? And when you traveled, what documents did you take with you? I have received only the Combo Card and I will travel in two weeks. I just want to know if I have everithing I need to retorn to U.S.

@nana Adjei-Ferguson hi dont be scared, just have your passport & AP with you. just know you will have to go to secondary inspection which seems scary but just remain calm. u were approved for AP for a reason

@Eduardo Nunez hi there, I received the combo card & also the USCIS approval receipts for it. I traveled with my passport, the card & the receipt of approval but i didnt even need the receipt.
