expediting I-131 Refugee travel document
Hello everyone - please share your advice on how to expedite I-131 based on family medical conditions please share the steps if anybody has done this before I have green card and applied for RTD 36 days ago but my mother is sick and need assistance outside of the country

you need to call USCIS and AI will ask it, tell you need “request an expedite”.
it will ask your receipt number and will contact you to an agent.
Live agent will assign you a USCIS confirmation number and you will wait for a call from officer to send your documentation. They need to accept it first to expedite

get official medical documents highlighting the humanitarian needs for you to travel. overnight them out to the service center and keep the tracking number. when they get delivered call uscis and submit an expedite request and explain the reason for the request and the urgency. make sure you give them the tracking number and the name of the officer that received the evidence package which will show up on your tracking number. once you're done with the call, they will give you a service request number, write it down in case you need to call again and follow up. also they'll contact you with 72hrs to 30 days.
it's been almost impossible to get expedite requests approved lately so you might end up traveling with your green card and cop passport

@m j is it safe to travel with cop has anyone done that ? and what will happen to I-131 if we travel
