, we will know very soon, is there a way we could expedite our case if she is? obviously Iโm going to be there by my wifeโs side as much as I can but yeah is it a valid enough reason.

@S K M we still donโt know yet, her monthly cycle hasnโt come, itโs kinda stressing for both of us, Iโm not saying I donโt want a baby but we are both hoping at this stage she isnโt ๐

if she is congratulations๐. yea it is very hard to be alone. I had my daughter nov 2023 and husband was not with me and I wished he was here(USA) with me because I had postpartum blues plus our daughter was colic. I barely survived๐ฅฒ

since your case has been pending for more than 16 months you should try to expedite
B GJan 26, 2025
your case is pending for more than the average, you should write to a congressman and explain she's pregnant that could work

If the wife is the beneficiary, then no. If the wife is the petitioner, then yes. Any expedite request needs to be supporting the petitioner, as that is the citizen/resident they support. The beneficiary, at this stage, has no status in the US, so they couldn't care less if they were dying to get them to the US.

Also note - if the child is born overseas then you will have to file an I-130 for the child too. They don't get citizenship being born overseas unless they are living with the parent that is the citizen. If the citizen parent is in the US, they have to go through consular processing too the normal way.

@Jacob Needham Hi, I have not used this app in weeks now. I got approved and really need to take a break.
From what I have learned, try and expidite but donโt count on it. Have you looked into filing your own lawsuit? You do not need a lawyer. It is much cheaper without one. I hope you get good news.
My husband is a lawyer but not an immigration lawyer. However, he has told me people can totally do these on their own. We had an immigration lawyer only because we paid him through my husbands law firm. There are so many good you tube videos about filing your own suit.
. I need to thank so many people for their kind words to me now that I am back on the app. It was nice to see possibly great news when I read your post.
If there is anything I can do to help you, not sure what, but please reach out. Even if you have some general legal questions you want me to run past my husband (legal jargon and stuff).

l just had my baby but before that l was put on bed rest, l called USCIS to expedite my I 130 for my husband who is in Africa up to now they have not given me a reply, it was emergency c section, baby preterm at 31 weeks still in the NICU. Ut is hard doing it alone without husband or any relatives. I pray you get approved and thing go well for you guys.USCIS does not know what spouses go through especially wives who are pregnant or with children
