yes, typically they get denied, but try one more time gather as many evidences as you can such as bills from college, rent, utilities, if you have a job offer that would be helpful too, write a letter explaining and summarizing everything

it varies person to person examples of financial hardships: you donβt have money to pay for college, you have credit card debt, your wife is pregnant and you canβt pay medical bills, you are chronically sick and canβt pay medical bills etc

Yes, but as a general rule: financial hardship = really in the deep poverty. Not working for 6 months doesnβt qualify
