We tried to expedite but then decided not to for I-765 (work authorization) what happens is that they will call you from USCIS and ask about the reasons and then they will ask (if needed) to provide some evidence why your case need to be expedited.....for example in our case they would have needed a medical documentation from my wife because she has a surgery, so we thought it would be easier for us if I would be able to work before that.

@s sheikh to expidite which application? A 131, 765, ? I only see a 130 applied for. They will only expidite for very limited reasons and it needs to be an exceptional circumstance.

Although your situation appears serious, the information you have provided is insufficient to establish that your expedite request meets the following guidelines:
*Severe financial loss to a company or person, provided that the need for urgent action is not the result of the petitioners or applicants failure to:
Timely file the benefit request , or
Timely respond to any requests for additional evidence;
*Emergencies and urgent humanitarian reasons;
*Nonprofit organization (as designated by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS)) whose request is in furtherance of the cultural and social interests of the United States;
*U.S. government interests (such as urgent cases for federal agencies such as the U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Department of Labor, DHS, or other public safety or national security interests);
*Clear USCIS error.
All expedite requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and are granted at the discretion of the Director.
Please note that for those cases that we cannot expedite as mentioned above and are Outside of Normal Processing Time (ONPT), please note that we recognize your interest in the final adjudication of your pending application/petition and are aware of the difficulties caused by any delay in processing. We will be making every effort to adjudicate your case in the most efficient manner based on our available resources.
We hope this information is helpful to you and regret any inconvenience this may have caused.
