Expedite Request DENIED but keeping the faith
After 2 weeks of waiting my reasons for travel does not seem to be urgent enough to warrant letting me leave. I would love to meet the person who created this system of not allowing us to leave after all background checks have been completed! please make it make sense

I feel you! I was denied an expedite request to see my father with a severe chronic condition.. in my case, I think the chronic part didn’t cut the bar.
I was seriously considering therapy for this.. I feel claustrophobic daily :(

@m m @stickit to the I encourage you to try again (and even submit the same documents) and hoping to get a different to review and approve your case!! It doesn't hurt or cost any money to submit another expedite request. Wish you both luck!!

@K W 🇹🇹 I actually submitted expedite request for my EAD card (not AP) due to financial loss. I believe "memorial service" is a valid reason to request for AP but I have NO experience on that. What I do know for sure is that, you are ALLOWED to REsubmit expedite requests (once the previous one is denied). I did that for my EAD where I submitted three times (got denied twice and then approved on the last time and it is a COMBO CARD). I submitted my request multiple times bc I believe that there will be ONE officer that will eventually approve my case. I know it's tiring but do not give up!! Keep fighting!! and I'm sorry for your loss🫶🏻

@K W 🇹🇹 contact the congressperson as well so that they can help you bug USCIS. In my experience, there are pretty slow and I have to keep calling them every other day.

@K W 🇹🇹 you won't get a response. try reaching out to live agent and ask them about the status. how long has it been since you faxed? as long as your fax app said "sent" you should be ok
