when did u DQ

@A Omar about 2 weeks ago. but my husband has a medical emergency so trying see the stats on expediting

I am convinced expedite requests are based on luck. I sent an expedite request with a physician’s note indicating life-threatening situation for the petitioner. And they still denied my request. This is at Abu Dhabi which is extremely backlogged right now…

I’m in the same situation now, my case was approved at the NVC since November last year, up till now, no interview date, i contacted the embassy in Accra and they told me it’s not their fault but rather the fault of NVC so i shld contact them, i dont even know how many times i hv tried to expedite my husband’s case but to no avail, all they will tell u is to wait becus of covid,meanwhile green card holders are getting interview dates whiles US citizens are there, hmmm and it’s so sad. So pls, try harder, i think it’s by luck, no matter what u will tell them to expedite ur case.

@Bee B wow I did know Abu Dhabi was also backlogged. somehow thought it was only a Ghana problem. so terrible they denied your request. hopefully you get some results soon

@Nancy Oteng Appiah yes so it seems you are correct and the consensus I’m getting is that no one actually gets expedited in the Accra embassy, whether it’s approved by the NVC or not. I guess my only recourse would be to try for a transfer to another embassy

Ghana ankasa u wont understand them. I tried expediting with my military order like 4 times, they denied all. Ba there is no harm in trying, maybe you will be in luck

@Nancy Oteng Appiah @Alexis D if you guys have have the funds to transfer to a different embassy do that asap , it worth transferring , I literally wasted my time being skeptical at the Accra embassy for good 11 months without an interview letter, expedited two time because of my wife high risk pregnancy still they denied us , just recently I found a group on Facebook for Ghana 🇬🇭 to American 🇺🇸 Uscis/NVC,/interview/support help , which changed everything for us My wife DQ 31/08/2022 Been skeptical for 11 months Transfered my wife NVC case to Sierra Leone 🇸🇱 on 10/07/2023 NVC accepted it on 13/07/2023 Interview Letter received on 31/07/2023 for September It took only 18 days for her to be scheduled for interview Guys if you have to the means to transfer do it or you been skeptical at embassy of Accra

@missION Fulfilled If you’ve the means to transfer your case to a different embassy do that or you’ll waste your time there, they’re currently working on student visas at the embassy currently, And for the spousal visas category they’re currently working on case DQ on October, November and December of 2021

@Mohammed Gadafi Ibrahim congratulations!!! did you expedite? we ended up transferring around the same time as you (we transferred on 06/07/2023) but we are still waiting on our letter. praying we get it soon! we were DQ’d in June 2023 so not sure if that makes a difference or not but I’m praying we get our letter soon also.

@Benedicta A yeah. if your case is in Ghana, just relax. you will be called. I know it’s frustrating but just relax you will be called.
