expedite
I have a question so I submitted my vawa last year with the help of a ymca lawyer , I want to expedite my vawa but she said that I shouldn’t do it . it’s it safe to do it on my own ? my reasons are for my very ill grandpa and I have a doctors letter but that’s all I really have . I want to ask to be expediate so I can be able to travel soon but idk if that’s a valid reason with just the doctors note ???

@kristen ruiz not a valid reason. approved vawa doesn’t help to travel. you can apply for advance parole.

You won’t get approved for an expedite. My advice is to get an advance parole.

applied for it too but I haven’t been accepted for it . I got the 5 year work permit but ap hasn’t been approved I applied oct 24 it’s it normal to take a while ?

so if your ap was not approved, do not travel bc you won’t be able to come back. there was a reason why your ap wasn’t approved

my lawyer helped me expedite my vawa case and it got approved in 2 weeks. I provided them my mom's cancer diagnosis and treatment documents. I tried to expedite first to save cost through senator but got rejected so I reached out for lawyer's help. You could try ask for your local senor to expedite on your behalf
