Evidence to Expedite EAD Card
For those of you who SUCESSFULLY received the EAD expedited request, could you please let me know what proof am I MISSING? I expedited twice and got DENIED TWICE. My supporting documents were 46 pages (1st time) and 50 pages (2nd time)
I've included everything I could think of
- cover letter, apartment rent, medical bills, ESA letter, car insurance, apt insurance, paystubs, excel sheet calculations with income and expenses between me and my spouse, car loan, car insurance, all utilities bills, phone bills, internet bill, ESA food, groceries bills, credit card statements, and health insurance cost (that my company covers 100%)
Yes, I included the email page with receipt# at the beginning of the supporting documents
I feel like they didn't even take a look at my supporting documents at all..
I'm very frustrated!! But I will not give up just yet, I will try expediting it one more time (hopefully they let me)
I submitted the request to 2 congresswomen in my area a month ago. No updates from them. I contacted them again last week-- no update. I will keep bugging them but I also can't just only rely on them.
USCIS's randomness is STRESSING ME OUT! 😭

so sorry to hear that. I have never tried that but I see people even submitting house/car loan documents, mortgage (if you have) credit card bills.
hope you get a positive news soon!
keep waitingMay 22, 2023
@S D I included car loan and car insurance. I don't have mortgage... currently living in apt and soon probably won't be able to afford it. yes I included credit card statements
thank you, I expect somegood news real soon too🫶🏻

50 pages is a lot an officer won’t take his time to review all your expedition evidences. try to do it light giving them only the important information
keep waitingMay 22, 2023
@t n I mean I technically summarized everything in the cv and excel sheet. The rest are actually just proof of the actual numbers that I put on excel sheet. Like rent costs, utilities bills, etc..
CR WalkerMay 22, 2023
I sent 22 pages and was approved five days after. I sent cover letter, confirmation page, and electricity bill, water bill, loan payment, credit card statement, phone bill, rent receipt, and internet bill.
Pepertua AMay 22, 2023
I submitted 12 pages. Did your evidence show financial stress, it’s more of ‘quality’ over quantity I think. Like 6 months of payment past due mails.
keep waitingMay 22, 2023
@CR Walker thank you for the info!! Looks like I submitted similar supporting documents as you. I will try again..
keep waitingMay 22, 2023
@Pepertua A yes, I wrote a cv and summarized everything in excel sheet. The rest of the supporting evidence are just actual bills, rent, insurance, that I'm trying to show that I didn't make up any numbers..
Stella munchMay 22, 2023
unless you are" out of time processing" then u can submitt evidence but only if ur time processing is longer than what your time to process USCIS will not accept the EXPEDITE.
Pepertua AMay 22, 2023
@Keep Waiting were the bills showing you haven’t been able to pay? cause even if they’re paid, they’ll assume you are still able to pay. If you have any past due bills, put on the top..Infact had to intentionally let some bills be past due like internet, light, etc and then submitted those
keep waitingMay 22, 2023
@stella munch hmm I don't think so. I see some people who submitted the I-765 couple months and requested for expedited and got approved? So, you're saying that I have to wait 11.5 months (based on uscis processing time website) before request for expediting?
keep waitingMay 22, 2023
@Pepertua A bills were paid bc I'm currently working!! Okay, I'll make sure to include unpaid bills. thank you!!
Pepertua AMay 22, 2023
@Keep Waiting that’s why. Cause for you to expedite, you need to prove ‘financial hardship’ meaning you are unable to even pay almost all bills. Most people applying need income/more income so that’s why they’ll say your case isn’t different. What can possibly make it different is proving you are not able to even pay and you have debt or interest accumulating. Maybe give a week or 2 and try again! Hugss!! It’s frustrating

@Pepertua A thank you so much for clarification and advice!! thank you!! I'll be preparing the documents while waiting for the "request evidence email" from them!! 🙏🏼before I was showing my expense monthly and without income I won't be able to afford
Gab CMay 22, 2023
can you expedite again? they told me. i cannot do it unless i have different reason.🥲
keep waitingMay 22, 2023
@nina F yes, keep trying!! Did you call uscis or do live chat?
Gab CMay 22, 2023
i did both and told me.. i cant if i have the same reason.. unless theres another reason. this is frustrating. 🥲
Dwayne YapMay 22, 2023
Honestly, if it hasn’t even been 3 months since you applied what reason should USCIS approve your expedite? I’m sure that you have bills but all of us waiting are pretty much in the same situation. I have been waiting and unemployed for more than 10 months and my expedite request was still denied. I have bills I need to pay too. All the best anyway.
keep waitingMay 22, 2023
@Nina F I had to chat with different agents until I found one who's willing to help me. Wish you luck!!!
keep waitingMay 22, 2023
@Dwayne Yap I understand your concern and I know that you have been waiting for way longer than me. But it's also unfair to me when some people got their EAD approved like right after their biometrics or even got GC approved couple weeks after submitted the documents. I am here to just asking for advice and trying my best to fight for myself. If the USCIS system were to be better, then I wouldn't be desperately trying to get my EAD approved. For me sitting still and not trying is not going to do anything. I will keep trying keep fighting until my application got approved. I also don't know how you can survive without any income. I don't know about your living situation and condition. If you have any tips, feel free to share. I might need those advice real soon. Thanks!
keep waitingMay 22, 2023
@Nina F I also typed whatever I'm planning to chat with the agent in a separate tab and copy and paste while chatting with agent. I feel like agents don't wait for you (at least me) to type out the details. Good luck!! I hope we got our EAD soon🫶🏻

dont understand why so many get theirs within 2 months and some of us are forgotten about :/
Jamaican princess 🇯🇲May 23, 2023
so sorry you’re going through that. I Expedite my I-131 because of my parents poor health and I got a combo card after sending evidence(doctor note etc).
keep waitingMay 23, 2023
@laura v ikrrr it's so random!! if everyone has to wait the same amount of time then yes I'm willing to wait patiently as well but I'm just here struggling 😫
keep waitingMay 23, 2023
@Suechie Clarke Thank you for the info🙏🏼 I hope you're parents are feeling better!
S PMay 23, 2023
@Keep Waiting you mentioned that your job covers your health insurance - are you still employed?
keep waitingMay 23, 2023
@Nina F yes! but my EAD will be expired in two weeks. I'm trying to get a new one by then🤞🏼😫
keep waitingMay 23, 2023
@Nina F without being employed, I have to cover that cost myself:/
Y YMay 23, 2023
Sorry to hear that. I submitted 13 pages including a cover letter, my husband’s car accident report, mortgage and property tax bills, and a job application form that states a legal status is required. My EAD got approved 7 days after I submitted these documents.
Gab CMay 23, 2023
@Keep Waiting yes i kept trying but im getting the same answer that i cannot expedite it with the same reason.🥲
keep waitingMay 23, 2023
@Y Y Thank you for the info!! 🫶🏻
keep waitingMay 23, 2023
@Nina F sorry to hear that! There are lots of inconsistencies in the system 😭😭They let me submit expedite request for the third time. I'm waiting for the email asking for the proof from uscis rn. Have you try reaching out to your congressperson yet?
Gab CMay 24, 2023
i did. but it has been 27 days since and email them yesterday they said they havent hear anything yet from uscis but i already get expedite denied two weeks ago. i wonder if their inquiry counts as another expedite?
keep waitingMay 25, 2023
@Nina F Try calling the congressperson instead. At least they NEVER reply to my email. I have been sending a follow up email every week since I submitted the privacy release form to them. By the time I was able to reach out to them via phone my expedited already got denied. I'm in the same boat. I did email them the new expedite referral code I got from uscis though but I don't think they care much at all😭
keep waitingMay 25, 2023
@Nina F the wait and unknown is so stressful :( I hope we both could get EAD soon. USCIS is super random and unpredictable and congresspersons are super slow and not helpful (at least for me)
