in my opinion totally pointless! it’s basically just another way to raise an SR. I did all that now I sued them. only way to get a result.

Z E - I'm sorry it didn't work for you, but it's not a pointless action. while most expedite requests are not granted indeed, they still are ways to get your case looked at and expedited or not. a case must be really strong in the eyes of the officer that is treating the expedite request for it to be granted, as it all depends on the officier who treats the request. Y K - normally, since you went the Congressman way, that implies that you submitted all the evidences to them. so, their office should let you know when they've sent the request and what they said. if your case is compelling to the officer that the request is assigned to, then you should receive an approval on the case for which you requested the expedite for within a few days now. I'm not going to give how many days because that's arbitrary, really. what happens with the expedite request is that the officer takes your original case out of line to be looked at under an expedite request. if the request is granted, then the case is approved ahead of time. if not, then it's back in line where it was before the expedite request. look at an expedite request this way: a way to persuade the officier that your case should be treated before those in front of it. because of that, your case must be very compelling to the eye of that officer, as stated. with this being said, not all expedite requests are granted, but they're worth trying as long as one has a reason deemed valid by USCIS. good luck to you! 🙂
