@sue na thank you! they asked me a lots of questions about my status ( about my f1 visa) , job responsibilities and about the company

It would be safer if you work for your sponsor for some time around 6 months

@J A I will thank you! the process started in 2021. and I took some IT classes. I just want to work as a software engineer that’s why I am asking .

Did the interviewer ask you about why you’re not working for sponsor while you already have EAD card?

I saw this topic earlier and the comments and just ignored.
But let me drop this for you and probably those who care to read.
if it was so important to USCIS that you work for your employer you don't think they would've given you issues at the interview?
Your GC gives you allowance to do anything to want.
People getting opinions from their employer attorneys really expect anything other opinion from them than to tell to work 6 to 12months?
Where is it stipulated you have to work 1year or 6months? Who made that rule up?? Check very well and its agents/Employer's attorneys. I know so many, way so many that never worked with their employer, so many that were working but left immediately they got their GC.
Getting citizenship is much morr about how you have been a law abiding permanent resident and swearing allegiance to USA. USCIS DOES NOT GIVE A FUCK ABOUT THAT LITTLE TINY EMPLOYER OUT OF A SMALL TOWN. THEY WILL NOT DENY YOU CITIZENSHIP BECAUSE OF THAT.
Imagine getting your GC and you stay stuck with a shitty job because an agent told you an unwritten imbecilic rule that you gotta work for a year?
It's against all US labor laws to be tied down to any contract. These agents/employers get away with all these bullshit because they know immigrants are largely ignorant and scared
Do not listen to cowards who cave in to threats from employers and agents.
It's your GC, do whatever you want with it.
And if you gotta work for them, even 1month is okay, you have atleast have 1 to 2 paystubs that you worked. And you can give ANY REASON why you left!
Again, your destiny is in your hands.
Sorry if there are typos, typed this in a hurry

@USCIS IS A MESS Actually, I agree with you and if I don't like the job, it seems unreasonable to stay in that job for 1 year.

@USCIS IS A MESS you are my guy I have told it all over this forum, I don’t understand how foolish people are, I agree 100% what you said.

@Tara hope your employer is bluffing
You're an RN... you will still work as an RN, but not for them. USCIS doesn't care about that. Even those without grencard, USCIS allows them to file I485J and leave their original employer... so it doesn't matter

@USCIS IS A MESS I had to bring my 485j for same employer during my interview. I had my interview one ago and I have been working for almost one year. my case is CRP at nbc. is it safe to quit without hsve to find another employer ?
