EB3 Unskilled data
Immigration released the statistics for the number of EB3 Unskilled visas issued in October for this new fiscal year, and the news is not good. In the very first month, 1,019 green cards were issued out of the 10,000 annual quota—all in a single month without any advancement in the visa bulletin. These 1,019 were exclusively from consular processing, with the country breakdown as follows:
1st - Vietnam: 242
2nd - Mexico: 169
3rd - Colombia: 84
4th - China: 75

Only about 5 countries are actually holding the whole EB3 visa category to hostage
USCIS ought to isolate and retrogress these countries but they will not
We are all drowning with them
Matt BDec 18, 2024
@USCIS IS A MESS They won’t; they were planning to eliminate the country cap and combine everything into a single pool.
Th NgDec 18, 2024
anyone understands why they did that?
Th NgDec 18, 2024
@Matt B if they only focus on CP there is no way AOS could get in turn
Th NgDec 18, 2024
Can anyone explain when they just stop this trend, it’s probably 2.5 years they are doing this
sam youngDec 18, 2024
@USCIS IS A MESS 100% you are right that’s basically the reason for retrogression and due to hundreds of applicants from these countries embassy are unable to schedule interviews which is also the reason for not moving forward in visa bulletin
sam youngDec 18, 2024
@Th Ng the backlog is huge from consular side that’s the reason.

you cant just be like "oh people are getting approval (but not me) its not good" ! brother IT IS MOVING, we all know that there are tons of cases pending 2020/2021 so aren't we supposed to be happy that people getting approvals from those time so it will finnaly move up? otherwise what will happend is its stuck there forever!
up downDec 18, 2024
i think the point is that the process is taking unreasonably long, and lack of transparency from USCIS is making it worse. if there is no or little movement due to priority to cp or something, then i believe applicants deserve explanation to justify that
LEE XpressDec 19, 2024
how consular processing gets that much inportance over AOS !!! 90% of the visa are supposed to allocate for AOS. thanks God this administration has gone next month
🤲👏 😇Dec 19, 2024
the point is not that people are getting approved ! the real problem is that couple of countries are eating up the entire EW category! Vietnam alone had 4k + I140 awaiting visa availability not including dependents.

@USCIS IS A MESS @up down @LEE Xpress @Dongwoon Lee and what funny in that there is almost 300-500 main applicants and rest are dependents

@USCIS IS A MESS hey I asked you a question regarding ead renewal under my post please do answer it when you get a chance
Th NgDec 20, 2024
@sam young yeah but AOS needs to be continued to process regardless of the backlogs
happy nuggetDec 21, 2024
YES, USCIS should be more transparent

there is no rhyme or reason to this VB, its insanity being ran by DOS. Either provide clear data of backlog so that people can make better decisions with their lives or cap the over subscribed country so that ROW can get their chance. This is insanity.
