EB2 PERM Approved - PD Sep’22 Applied Oct’23
Got approved tonight. My case fell outside of normal processing time at the NBC in August 2024 after I called USCIS. I submitted 1 request through my local congressman in September without success from USCIS (basically a all good and normal just wait) 2 requests by myself , one in August and one in September with the same message. I received the answer for the second request yesterday (negative) and submitted a request to the ombudsman office this morning but it does not matter now because tonight my case is approved. Good luck to everyone still waiting, USCIS has proven that they don’t tackle cases in order they receive but use a stack instead so if you haven’t been approved within 6 months there’s no incentive for USCIS to approve you any time soon anymore as it will impact their median processing time. Another pattern I have noticed through 30 datapoints at my company is that applying concurrently leads to faster approval time on average. I think it’s because cases will end up being transferred so it will basically put the application at the top of the pile at the service center. 🫡

Nicolas HordeNov 9, 2024
I think it just stayed at NBC the entire time

they don’t let it known automatically when it’s transferred and processed in the FO. it might have gone to one in the last few weeks and quickly got approved from there.

There’s no official processing time for NBC on the USCIS website so I had to call them and an agent told me over the phone that my case would fall outside of normal processing time in August 2024 (10 months). For some others it was 20 months so I don’t know how they work 🤷‍♂️

If you are honest and say you have a receipt number you’ll go into circle so say you don’t have a receipt number

@Nicolas Horde What was the processing time posted in USCIS website for your field office? Because they won’t allow request until after the date shown by the inquiry calendar or did you submit the inquiry regardless

exactly same timeline: PERM EB2, PD is Sep 2022, filed in Oct 2023, sitting entire time at NBC. I haven’t had any updates since then…What is the country of birth, please?
Nicolas HordeNov 11, 2024
@yes greened there’s no processing time for NBC on the website hence I had to call USCIS to get my normal processing time (10 months)

congratulations! I don’t know what the heck that USCIS is doing with the cases. People who applied 3 months ago are getting approved while people applied year ago are still waiting. it’s so frustrating. So what’s the processing time at NBC? and how do you know it fell out of normal processing time? there is no processing time mentioned for NBC
