EB1C courtesy letter for medicals
I filed I485 for myself and dependents in Oct 2020 but didn’t submit medicals at that time. My I140 is approved and we’ve received our combo EAD/AP cards. The I485 has been at TX since Feb and last update was bio applied in April. This weekend I received a courtesy letter from USCIS to submit medicals. This was not an RFE, just a courtesy letter saying I could provide it now to speed up processing or wait for an RFE. However only I received the letter and there ways nothing sent for my dependents. Anybody else have a similar experience? would it be ok to send the Medicals for the whole family in response to this letter?

that is great, I’d send it all.. there are some people sending medials without rfes or courtesy letters. I d also add a page explanining you add other rfes and their A number/case numbers as well. you could get legal advisory as well for 15 minutes, I think that would be enough for your case.
are they asking you to add the letter when you send the medical back?
when was your 140 got approved? I concurrently applied in Mar 2020 but got not medical rfe or courtesy letter 🥺

thanks.. I appreciate the feedback. will plan to do all our medicals and submit with a cover letter asap. @og yes, they are asking to send the Medicals back with the letter they sent me for reference. my PD is Dec 2019. my I140 got approved in Feb 2021.

Same to me, my lawyer recommended to send the medicals even if they just sent a letter to me.

@alejandro did you already submit the Medicals? please share any inputs on how to arrange the documents and draft cover letter when sending them to USCIS.

@Narsi, they will however provide you a sealed envelopes for everyone. wrap the sealed envelope with RFE/courtesy letter for you. 485 receipt notice for the other family members. You can put them all in one big envelope along with a covering letter addressing the officer signed your covering letter mentioning all of your 485 receipt and A numbers.
Just to be safe, check with the physician what would it take to provide a copy of these. In a rare cases, one may get RFE in the mean time and send another copy.

@SK thanks! I have my appointment tomorrow, will check with the physician for additional copies if required at a later time.

I did concurrent filing in Mar 2021 but did not submit medicals along with it. What happens if I were to send it now? Or do we have to wait till asked for it?

Narsi C - what was your PD?
Narsi CNov 16, 2021
@A A my PD was Dec 2019 and I filed 485 in Oct 2020. If you decide to send your medicals now (interfile) it can be a hit or miss. You can give it a try, but be ready to re-submit in case they still send an RFE. Your main loss in that situation is the cost of doing medicals again

I went ahead and got our medicals done. shipped out the reports to USCIS today. keeping fingers crossed and waiting now.

Narai, did you get update that medical forms were received?
Narsi CDec 19, 2021
no update to the status from USCIS so far. I contacted a live agent via chat a week after I mailed the Medicals and they couldn’t confirm anything. The agent submitted a request for a T2 officer to look into the status and get back to me within 30 days
