Principal approved derivative still under review
My husband I485 was approved yesterday, but my case is still under active review. He is the primary in the application, and under category EB1B. Is this normal? If so, any ideas on the timeline and the reasons?

yes, it's normal. I have read cases on Reddit where even the derivative got approved first and days later the primary. you can be approved soon, called in for an interview or wait longer.

@Mx S Sie We’re having the same issue. Primary EB1A I-485 approved like 10 days ago but dependent is still pending.

each applicant seems to be reviewed differently and not as a "group" I am a primary applicant on an I485 at the same time of application we both asked for Advance P but my wife got it and yet me as Primary applicant, it is still pending 5 month later.

just to close the loop here, I was approved today. It was a week difference between the principal (my husband) and the derivative (myself)
