row?
FS AFeb 25, 2025
How do you know that the case moved to another office?
battling giantsFeb 26, 2025
what’s the processing time at NY FO as per as the uscis processing times website ? I would subtract 8 months from the total time and that’s the 80% processing time for NY FO as 8 months is usually NBC processing time - assuming the case was originally at NBC.
hen bejFeb 26, 2025
thanks. India. Emma.
hen bejFeb 26, 2025
@battling giants not sure I understand
hen bejFeb 26, 2025
@G L thanks for encouraging words. were you in similar situation?
battling giantsFeb 26, 2025
@hen bej go here : https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/.
battling giantsFeb 26, 2025
@hen bej once you go there , fills in your details and get the processing time . subtract 8 months from it , that is the processing time of your field office to process 80% of the cases . (8 months is the processing time for nbc , I’m assuming here that your case was initially received at NBC)
hen bejFeb 26, 2025
yeah it’s already been 5 months. processing time at NY is 10 months. what do you mean? I still don’t get it
G LFeb 26, 2025
@hen bej If your Country of Birth is India then I am not sure. I donot think you are current
hen bejFeb 26, 2025
@G L EB1A is at 2022 for India. our priority dates are in 2019 and 2020
G LFeb 26, 2025
@hen bej Then you must be good.. In my case I got approval after 15 days of transfer to FO. But my FO was Columbus, OH
hen bejFeb 26, 2025
@G L thanks. did it first go to NBC?
jag AFeb 26, 2025
my pd is 2013 and still waiting. been more than 6 months at nbc
hen bejFeb 26, 2025
I don’t think priority date matters as long as you’re current
G LFeb 27, 2025
@hen bej Yes it first went to NBC
G LFeb 27, 2025
@jag A Is this again a porting case?
jag AFeb 27, 2025
@G L yes. i moved from eb2 niw to eb1a.
G LFeb 28, 2025
@jag A Be watchful! there is severe rejection of porting cases now a days…
jag AFeb 28, 2025
@G L can you expand more. both my cases are self sponsored and my company didn’t support. so its not eb1-c. its eb-1a. which was approved and the pd on my approval is 2013. so i am not 100% what you meant by rejection of porting cases. is it for 140?
battling giantsFeb 28, 2025
@hen bej if NY processing time is 10 months .subtract 6 to 8 months from it (this is the NBC processing time ). that gives you 2 to 4 months. that’s the time your case can remain in NY FO for 80% of the cases .
when was your case transferred to NY FO ? whatever that date is - you have to wait for atleast 4 months after that date before you can file service request or contact senator etc .
G LFeb 28, 2025
@jag A Sorry, when I saw PD 2013 I misunderstood that it is a EB1C porting case from EB2/3. Your case is entirely different. Then I wonder why your case is still not approved with PD 2013 when current VB shows Final action date for India EB1 is Feb 2022? Were there any issues?
jag AFeb 28, 2025
@G L that is exactly what i am wondering too. why its taking that long. i did get ead/ap combo card in less than a month. only answer i get from emma and tier 1 officers is its normal processing time.
