EB1A I-485 employment based Interview
Hello,
I was wondering if people have been scheduled interviews for the employment based 485 application? I thought my interview will be waived because it's employment based. Also, I don't have any dependent.
140 was approved in 07/22.
485 was filed in 08/22.
my lawyer sent a letter porting my eb2 priority date due to the recent eb1 retrogression in 01/2023.
765/131 combo card was received in 02/2023.
received an initial interview request on 03/10/2023.
I wonder if lots of people are getting it or I'm just the unlucky one.
note: national benefit center (MSC). I don't know anything about the transferring to the field office. never asked, but the interview is in Los Angeles.

@Blue Blue after sending letter to port your prioroty date, did you get acknowledgment from uscis that the date has been ported successfully? I also submitted similar letter, and was wondering if they send out a new I485 receipt with updated priority date?

@ Ag - we sent a letter about 5 weeks ago. no acknowledgment- planning to follow with congressman this week. our case has moved to field office though. not sure what that means

I live in LA, my interview was in LA field office and GC got approved during the interview which took almost 10 min. Pretty straightforward. Good luck

i have interview coming on April. I think they bring the interview back for EB applicatants?

I live in LA. @Mahbod Azadian what kind of questions did they ask you? is your interview spot in downtown?

Yeah the federal building in downtown. Most of the questions were about the information already in the forms you submitted. And a few questions about the position you are applying and the actual job. Again very simple and quick. It is a piece of cake, nothing to worry about.
