EB1-C from countries that are Current
Well, my I-140 and I-485 were filled concurrently on April 21st, 2023 with PP and my country is current.
After RFE the I-140 was approved in the beginning of July…. Bottom line, so far it is more than 5 months since priority date and I-485 is pending.
Not saying it is too long, but I would like to benchmark with people in similar situation (also who were approved recently).
Appreciate the feedback upfront!

I’ve seen some people post timelines where their I485 was approved relatively quickly after I140 for EB1-C… seems like approvals within 6-8 months of PD are pretty normal so long as you’re current. I’d guess 1-3 months after i140 approval if you submitted concurrently and there’s no RFE, but I’m not basing this on a ton of data.

I have a friend who had his I-140 approval in February 2023 and received his GC in ~5 months!
Anyways, that’s why I started to feel more anxious now (going to 6 months after PD, but ~3 months from I-140 approval).

Ellie, nowadays there is no card for AP approval isolated (only if approved the combo together with EAD)…. In any case you can use your approval notice to travel back!

@Mario Ayres my i-140 got approved on July 13 and I’m still waiting as well. Has your I-485 been transferred to NBC or not yet?

@J A. My status is still showing “fingerprints were taken”…. I tried Emma also for more info but did not get anything different, looks like still in Texas Service Center.

@Ellie Bdy Hey, my notice does not say anything about a card…. The attorney paralegal told me I could use my notice when traveling abroad.
I did not try yet but will fly abroad in the end of the year, hopefully the GC will arrive before…. If not I’ll try the notice.

Today I finally got an update on my I-485 case: “….transferred to another office….”
Anyways, good or not at least changed from biometrics!
