EB1-C - ROW approval
Hi all, I'd like to share my experience, as I know you are probably as anxious as I was while waiting for an update on my case 😊. I submitted the I-485 for an EB1-C on 02Jul2020, my birth country is Brazil and my FO is Miami. I received a biometrics appointment very quickly, done on 12Aug2020, however, I heard no news for 13 months, until one day I get a Lawfully update stating that my new card was being produced - no RFE and no interview. The bottom line is: even if you don't hear anything on your case for several months, when you least expect it, it will come 😊. All the best!

hey Carolina, how long after your 140 approval you got this 485 approval? congrats

It was 12.5 months after I-140 approval. I submitted my I-140 in March 2020, then the I-485 in July 2020 (before I-140 approval) and got the I-140 approval at the end of August 2020.

@Carolina Canton, congratulations! Did you get your green card mailed to you? I got approved on Sep 17th, Friday last week, and I am waiting for my status to change from 'new card is being produced' since then...

@A S, thanks! I did have it mailed to me, it actually arrived by mail 4 days after the approval. Lawfully has a tool that shows what is the next status and timeframe for it and it states that 24% of the cases take up to 5 days to have the status changed to "new card is being produced", but 75% has this done 1 day after "Case was approved" status. Hopefully you'll see an update very very soon, but it can still take a couple more days per Lawfully statistics 😊.
