Congrats! Who told you that mandatory interviews have returned?
Oz tahaFeb 14, 2025
I just spoke with Emma about my case and they told me the same- interview waiver was canceled and I should receive an interview notice soon
Oz tahaFeb 14, 2025
@Mark H what kinda questions did they ask you
K RFeb 14, 2025
hi how to reach Emma agent?
lk sFeb 14, 2025
how was the interview?
K VFeb 14, 2025
Congratulations! my dates are all the same, how was your interview? did officer tell you that you are approved during the interview? how many days after you got your green?
K VFeb 14, 2025
@Daniel C. he wrote in the post that officer told him

Hi folks,
Interview was actually very pleasant.
Consisted mainly of reviewing the details of the I-485 and going through a number of docs I brought on the day:
- employment verification letter
- pay stubs for the past 6 months
- tax returns
- W2s
- original birth cert for me, my wife (both Irish) and my son (US born)
- original marriage cert
At the end of the interview the case officer said they were satisfied everything looked good and should be able to wrap the case up later today.
Our case updated to say Card is being produced later that day.
My lawyer had inferred mandatory intertivews had retuned based on the influx of interview appointments his clients are receiving. The USCIS case officer confirmed this was 99.9% the case in the interview.

Unbelievable… instead of clearing all the backog now they also will start doing interviews for eb1c… completely no sense
Mark HFeb 15, 2025
I think it’s mandatory interviews for all visa categories - not just EB1-C
Daniel C.Feb 15, 2025
Same, EB pass through a lot of checks, it’s not like marriage green card where you can just marry somebody. There shouldn’t be any interview if all the work papers are in order
