I renew on my own my lawyer never even called or tell me to renew and uscis even sent back my check for $410 said it was free to renew just got a letter yesterday saying they will use my fingerprints from before no need to come in for biometric

I reapplied nov 30,2021 EAD expired Dec 2,2021 they also sent a letter saying that it’s extended for 180 days didn’t know what any of this meant cause my lawyer never helped I had to ask questions on here to find out when they sent back the money I was scared that I did something wrong or that i was not getting new ead

ask for some discount … I don’t understand why we need to continue pay for lawyer after we already paid him for the whole case . I paid too , I think like 700$ (I did ask for discount- I am single mom ) but I paid 12,000$ for my vawa case . with fees almost 15,000$ !!!!! it’s so rude to ask for another few hundred dollars 💵. immigration it’s definitely great way to do money. our lawyer knows we feel in cages! so they know we will pay more and more … I hope it’s will end soon . good luck

I am marriage base so I don’t know if that make a difference about the fee being free ask it as a question on here I find people respond quickly it really helps me cause my lawyer don’t know shit the help on this site is great

@ben, 15,000??!! that's ridiculous. i paid a paralegal person for 2,500 to guide me and help some filling forms. i am on my own now, so far i got parole to travel but funny why they prioritize this instead of ead or extension letter of prima facie.

I felt into removal processing. that’s why it’s so expensive… when you don’t have your freedom every number sounds ok .. I didn’t check I go to the same lawyer that was with us when I wanted to file with my husband…. he let me feel safe . so it’s worth it for me. I paid another 5000$ to another lawyer that took me out of detention center with bond in my first hearing.

no. the judge granted our motion to terminate removal processing.

@munchkin you know there's plenty of resources online and it's great. i did all the process and documentation by myself when my ex applied to petition me. it's basically almost the same filing with vawa but vary with the processing. i opted to get a paralegal because it's her specialty and cheaper. everything is under on progress now but it's already outside the processing time. I don't know if my letter would help expediting my case.

@Alex, that's interesting but why is it on the letter it specifically stated an expiry date? it never indicated that once it's expired this paper is still valid to any government assistance and so on..my school doesn't know about this vawa and it is very complex. how will i prove to them that my vawa letter is still valid? .

the reason is that I had overstayed my b2 visa . I never left the country since I entered 10 years ago…

I can’t help if you don’t tell which case you file. is it 360? or marriage? because it’s 2 different things. usually FO take care of marriage base cases, 360 to centers before they move to FO . i didn’t try to be rude . just honest.

According to my lawyer, when your prima Facie expire, it is automatic still valid to renew your EAD if you didn't received new prima Facie and that how renew my EAD but submitted the photocopy of expired EAD to reapply for my EAD

What@ben, that's alot of money. I didn't pay for my case. I used a free lawyer, just provide my W2's for each renewal and USCIS waived my fees.
