EAD what W4 file if I just got a job under combo card
hello everyone .. hoping someone can help! I just got a new job and I got my combo card EAD and I’m waiting for my interview to get my green card. in the job paperwork for tax purposes it asked me to file either a W4 for Resident or W4 for Non resident Alien (which category do I fall under )???? or which one should I file?? taking into consideration that if I file under Non resident alien I can only be single filer ( and I’m married to us citizen and I want to claim our daughter as dependent ???? also last year my husband and I filed under married filing jointly with my ITIN ( since at that time I didn’t have a social ! PLEASE PLEASE PLEAS EHELP !! please help !!!!! I haven’t found any response .. I want to make sure I do it right and I don’t take either too much taxes or too little out of my paycheck!

if u live in US = resident alient non resident = u don’t live permanently in US.

you have to file as a resident if you meet the substantial presence test of number of days in usa regardless of whether you have greencard or not
