EAD valid for 2years when did Uscis start this?
so I got my EAD renewal approval notice in the mail today and it said valid from 2/2/22 to 2/1/24 thought they only give for 1 year when did this start?and I don’t understand why 2 year EAD what about my green card waiting 537 days now no interview nothing

I believe a recent change extended EAD validity to 2 years (probably to offset the lengthy Green Card processing times). How many months did the EAD renewal take?

@munchkin munchkin Wow, I read that renewals are taking 10-12 months now - 60 days is encouraging! My renewal back in February 2021 took around 60 days. I am in a similar position in terms of the Green Card - over 2 years and counting…

wow I did my renewal nov 30,2021 they worked fast on the renewal and I am thankful for that but I feel so bad to see people applying in 2021 and 2022 and approved already I apply August 2020 nothing
