They were starting with applications from November 2020. However, Yesterday I saw two approvals for Feb 2021.

the processing times at their website are useless. it will give you a rough estimate, that’s it. There are people from Oct 2020 who got are still waiting on bio for example, while some people in Dec like me already had bio. Similar for EAD approvals. Nobody can tell you exactly which months they are processing. It’s random and it depends on so many factors.

The processing time on their website is just more for inquiry date purposes, not to tell you which month they are working on. In the last 3 months or so, I’ve been pretty active on a few forums for immigrants, and as far I can see, people from October 2020 mostly get approval on EAD, but hard to tell the same for November 2020 fillers. Just to be clear, I’m talking about Texas center, EB users. Also, I noticed that the National benefit Center is far more efficient than others. Texas and Nebraska are on the same level of efficiency. California and Potomac center are the slowest. I will agree with Uros that it is hard to predict. Lots of variables are included. I’ve seen cases where the people received I-485 in just a few months without deciding on EAD (again talking about Eb applications). Most of them passed without interviews. I wish I understad their logic, but know for sure that you have to be armed with lots of patience.

Thank you Dana for that extensive explanation. If I receive an RFE for medical soon then I’ll definitely be receiving a GC rather than EAD. But I doubt it honestly. Texas moves at a snail’s pace. But Cali and Vermont are horrendous. They don’t even move

I’m Nov 9 2020, it looks like they are starting November now. but it took them 6 months to handle October, so I’m not excited about it. I sent RFE for medicals in Nov 29 2021 on my I-485, and I think the GC will come before the EAD

🤞🏼@Ed D, that would be awesome! You are right about October 2020 fillers. For that year, the highest volume of applications came in the 4th quarter in October, and since USCIS was already understaffed and they’re were closed from March till July, it developed a huge backlog. However, I expected once they clean October 2020 appliacatiins, they would move faster, but it looks that we are going to see another delay because of the rule to expedite EAD for Health care workers (which is ok, we are still dealing with pandemic).

Actually Dana, it’s not okay. I am not blaming the healthcare workers and them trying to expedite it. They should and we do need them, bless their heart! I am blaming the USCIS, their incompetence, shortstaffing and underachieving. If they did their job right then healthcare workers wouldn’t need to expedite it. We wouldn’t even be in this mess right now. It takes 12 minutes to adjudicate the work authorization document (ead). Some of us are waiting months and lost their jobs because of their incompetence. Shameful. They take the money and then take 13+ months to process the EAD.
